BEAM is honored to welcome Bryan Bishop, as its strategic and technical advisor and will review BEAM’s code.
BEAM is an implementation of Mimblewimble and aims to launch by the end of 2018.
BEAM’s goal is to address some of the main challenges that cryptocurrencies are facing today. BEAM’s combination of confidentiality, scalability, and opt-in provable auditability lay ground for a wide adoption of our currency for both business and personal finance.
Bryan Bishop architects and builds software that is altering the face of modern finance. Most recently, he has written software and built a highly-regulated finance firm that integrates Bitcoin with the $600 trillion derivatives market, culminating in a Swap Execution Facility (SEF) and Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO) which was awarded regulatory approval by the CFTC. Bryan is also a Bitcoin Core developer and is frequently quoted in the media on all things crypto-related.
A renowned public speaker and published scholar (Nucleic Acids Research, J. Comp. Inf. Sci. Eng., etc.), Bryan keeps himself occupied with projects ranging from DNA synthesis using phosphoramidite chemistry, to those involving genetic engineering and more cutting edge technologies relating to cryonics, brain scanning and emulation, nootropics, molecular nanotechnology, and automation.
